through the looking glass
One day, while looking through a display window, I saw the white rabbit waving and smiling at me. Curious. I had the sudden urge to talk to her. I asked the white rabbit “What’s that funny paper attached to your face?” I noticed that it says, made in Hongkong, China. “You came all the way from China!”
“But you’re Euro and Pounds all over. Are you sure you’re from China? And what are you doing here in the Philippines?” I enquired. Then suddenly, we heard a shrill voice “A slow sort of country!” said the Queen. “Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!”
I couldn’t resist, I have to tell the world about the rabbit. I was afraid, they’ll think i’ve gone entirely bonkers. I took out my camera…a click and a flash - the rabbit disappeared!
Then, I heard my daughter asking me to buy her a mask. “Now, dear, remember what i told you about carbon footprint and social responsibility?….”

i can’t help but put on a grin after reading this one.

we should have termed it rabbit race not the rat race. there are days that i feel like i’m running as hard as i can but i still don’t get to accomplish anything.
hehehe! I quoted the queen from the book “through the looking glass” by Lewis Carroll. Its just a moment of craziness.
It’s actually the state of our country – we are very slow talaga. On a more personal level – sometimes we thought of multitasking as being productive. Just awhile ago, after taking a whole day break from the net, I found out that there were some “attention-deficit” bugs on some of my sites and thought that my two weeks of work and multitasking skills count for nothing! i like to think of it as cross-training. for ridiculousness.
Beautiful little Lady there!
Your blog is adorable!

creative story telling. I love how you weaved different aspects (child-like innocence, politics and personal views) into a simple story – just like Carroll. Thanks for dropping by my site.
very cute, love the way you have done the story!
Thanks, Léia! Hugs too!
