About
Welcome to the Island of Cebu, Philippines!
Everyday Cebu started 2006 when I was browsing for photos about Spain, I stumbled upon Bob’s daily photoblog of Barcelona and Eric Tenin’s Paris Daily Photo. These guys inspired me to create my own photoblog about our beloved adopted island Cebu, Philippines.
Everyday Cebu {Cebu Daily Photo} is all about our personal discoveries… the daily life in our adopted island paradise. Expect that there will be a lot of tumbling and whirling and linking and weeping and gnashing and mostly joyous narcissism. I am forever happy when i find myself bored and there is a camera nearby. I don’t rush, i blog to the beat of my own drum.
Thank you very much and please enjoy your stay!
About the Barefoot Lady
I’m Jane, the Barefoot Lady. I’m a Manilena who adopted this wonderful island paradise five years ago.
In May of 2005, after living on the southern part of Metro Manila all my life (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on SLEX) my family settled into a cheerful house in the Queen City of the South.
I started taking photographs of the island in 2005 as a way to document our mini road trips and the wonderful surprises we discovered along the way. It has become so much more than a creative outlet for me – it has let me appreciate my roots at the same time find my own personal passion and voice.
I use the the following equipment for this blog:
Camera: Canon EOS 1000D
Lens: Canon 18-55 IS Zoom Lens
Cellphone Camera: BlackBerry 9700
